Signage
A sign does not have to be a flat board
It can be a rock with carved lettering, a barrel, a ship, a character or a gate you walk through into the venue. We create three-dimensional signs and logos, totems, wayfinding and themed signage, town entry signs, photo spots, promotional and event features, and exhibition stands.
We combine sculpture, lettering and material texture. Lettering can be carved in stone, raised or recessed, painted and aged, illuminated, or joined with smoke and sound effects. Structure, materials and fixings are chosen for the location: a lightweight stand element is built differently from a durable outdoor sign exposed to wind, frost and visitors’ hands.
We work from a brand book, a sketch or just an idea.

From experience
Stone gates at trade fairs, a photo spot at a park
At building trade fairs in Brest in 2010 and 2011 we built exhibition stands with a stone gate and the company name carved into it. A long-standing permanent display stand with carved stone stood at a building materials market in Brest. The close-up shows lettering carved into the stone and painted.
At Hossoland, sculptures and landmarks work as photo spots, such as the fisherman on the central plaza, and a giant welcome sign on a barrel greets visitors.
Scenery
Details decide whether a space has its own world
We design and build scenery and unusual special features for amusement parks, hotels, resorts, commercial venues, public spaces and private projects: artificial trees and roots, carts, boats, props, features with effects, landscape furniture and themed playgrounds.
We can recreate an element from the client’s documentation and visualisations or design it from scratch. Form, materials, colour, degree of ageing and fabrication method are chosen to suit the surroundings and conditions of use. Scenery can stand alone or be part of a larger themed environment with architecture, sculpture, rockwork, water, light, sound and effects.

Technology
Each element designed for how it is used
We design every scenic element with its function, scale, exposure and intensity of use in mind. Depending on the project we use steel structures, lightweight space frames, EPS/XPS, cementitious and polymer-modified systems, composites, timber and metal. The technology serves the design: a large outdoor feature needs different solutions from a lightweight indoor scenic element, a decorative sign or an object visitors touch often.
Surfaces are modelled and finished by hand: old timber, stone, metal, rust, patina, worn render and concrete. Multi-layer scenic painting and ageing tie new elements into one believable space. On larger projects we plan modules, transport, installation sequence and maintenance access, and can integrate LED lighting, mist, smoke and sound.
