Interactive Themed Installation for Park Ogrodzieniec
Project Overview
The Stone Guardian was created as the centerpiece of the Haunted House entrance at Park Ogrodzieniec.
Rather than simply building a large decorative sculpture, our goal was to create an immersive themed installation that captures visitors' attention before they even enter the attraction.
Designed to become part of the architecture rather than just an addition to it, the Guardian transforms the entrance into an experience. The combination of sculpture, realistic stone textures, lighting, sound and atmospheric smoke helps establish the story from the very first moment.
The entire project was conceived, designed and built by Artisan Aleks Company — from the original concept and character design to sculpture, scenic finishing, lighting, sound, smoke effects, electrical installation, on-site assembly and final commissioning.

How it was made
An entrance that starts the story
An attraction entrance is where guests wait, look around and take photos. If that moment is empty, the story only begins inside. If it is well designed, the attraction starts working on the path outside.
This is the model in which we deliver the complete package: we are responsible for concept, fabrication, installation and commissioning of the agreed scope. The park deals with one partner for the whole installation rather than several contractors to coordinate.
Decisions that shape the result
What we settled early, and why
An EPS template at full scale
Once the concept was approved, an EPS template was made, and that is where the sculpture build begins. The lightweight form lets proportions and silhouette be judged at full scale before any further layer is applied.
Fixing and services at concept stage
The fixing method, the connection to the architecture and the routing of services for light, sound and smoke were decided before sculpting. These choices are hard to change once the form has been modelled.
Light for practical reasons
A sculpture integrated with the entrance architecture must be securely fixed. Lower weight makes installation easier and reduces the load on the structure it is attached to.
Stone next to real stone
The ruins of Ogrodzieniec Castle stand in the background, so the texture and colour of the artificial stone had to hold up beside the real thing. Ageing makes the figure look like something that has stood there for a long time, not like a new object.
Hands on the work
Led by the founder, on the sculpture and on site
The key sculpting work was led personally by the company’s founder, Aleks Svirydzenka. He was also on site during installation.
Light, sound and smoke are planned together with the structure, not after it is built. Electrics, smoke machines and lighting have to stay accessible for inspection and maintenance, yet hidden so they do not break the illusion. For that reason testing and commissioning were a separate stage, not a formality at the end of installation.

Yes. Solutions like this can serve as landmarks, entrance zones, facades, signs or photo spots. We tailor the scope and the layer system to the site.
Does an installation with effects need maintenance?
Yes, like any piece with technical services. We plan it so that the technical layer is accessible for inspection and maintenance while staying as discreetly hidden in the scenery as possible.
Do we need a finished character design?
No. On this project we developed the concept and the character design ourselves. We can equally work to a design supplied by the client or an architect.
What is enough to start a conversation?
Photos of the site, a description of the effect you want and an indicative budget. We then assess whether a full package from concept to commissioning fits better, or whether we should work to a design supplied by an architect.
The six-layer build-up is not a template for every piece. Systems vary with the project and the exposure, but each layer keeps its own job and none replaces the others.
