A water feature should not look like a technical element
Water gives a place atmosphere. It can be a dynamic waterfall visible from far away, a calm cascade in a spa, part of a rocky landscape, part of a building entrance or a quiet accent in a private garden.
The best effect comes when the feature does not read as a separate piece of equipment. That is why we combine water with artificial rockwork, sculpture, themed architecture, planting, light and carefully modelled surroundings.
We deliver single features as well as extensive water-and-rock compositions, for amusement parks, hotels, resorts, water parks, commercial and public spaces and private residences.

Every feature is designed with the visual effect and the water flow in mind, together with maintenance access, safety and operating conditions.
Waterfalls and cascades

Technology
Built on structure, finished by hand
The themed layer can stand on steel structures, properly prepared substrates or lightweight space frames. Depending on the project we use cementitious and polymer-modified systems, reinforcement, metal or composite mesh, EPS/XPS and other materials suited to working in direct contact with water.
Rock surfaces are carved by hand, with natural steps, fissures, erosion, flow channels and irregular banks. As a result the water becomes part of the formation. The final effect is built up with multi-layer painting, patination, varied textures and carefully directed light.
Who is responsible for what
Water needs two kinds of expertise. We keep them separate in the contract and joined in the design.
Specialist systems
Hydraulics, pumps, filtration, waterproofing, controls and electrical installations are designed and installed by water-systems contractors and designers.
The artistic layer
We are responsible for the rock, the surfaces, the colour and their integration with the technical systems. Technical responsibility stays clearly divided from the artistic layer.
Planned access
From the outset we plan maintenance, cleaning and access to technical components, so that nothing has to be broken out of the finished scenery.
One coordinated whole
We work with water-systems contractors, designers and general contractors, and coordinate with building services so that both layers are designed as one.
Pools and spas
Rockwork surrounds for pools and spas
A pool framed by a realistic rock formation stops being a technical tank and becomes a place guests remember. We build rock edges and walls for indoor and outdoor pools, waterfalls and cascades for spa areas, grottoes and niches with water, water walls and rock slides, as well as decorative indoor rockwork with planting and flowing water.
Pool surrounds face water, pool chemicals, humidity and intensive use, so we select materials, coatings and finishes individually for each one. We also repair and reinstate surfaces around existing pools and water features.
The service is for hotels, resorts, water parks, spas and leisure facilities, and for private clients building a pool at home.

Do you design the pumps and filtration?
No. Hydraulics, pumps, filtration, waterproofing, controls and electrics are designed and installed by specialist contractors. We design and build the rock and the scenic layer and integrate it with their systems.
Can you work with our designer or contractor?
Yes. We work with water-systems contractors, designers and general contractors so that the technical side is properly integrated with the visual layer.
Can you repair rockwork around an existing pool?
Yes. We repair and reinstate surfaces around existing pools and water features, choosing materials and coatings for the conditions there.
Can lighting and mist be built in?
Yes. Underwater and decorative LED lighting, mist, sound and other effects can be integrated, with access to the installations planned from the start.
What should we send for a first assessment?
A design, a visualisation, photos of the site or a description of the effect you want. We will look at the form, the scale, the integration with building services and our scope of work, and propose a technology suited to the site.
Water features are agreed project by project: the structure, the contractors for hydraulics and the warranty terms depend on the site and the contract.
