The Pub No 27
A sports bar and gastro pub dressed as an old warehouse: hand-made brick pillars, rough stone lintels, a rock-walled wine cellar and timber-look walls — one author’s hand, from the first brick to the glowing number above the bar.
Interior finishes
New concrete, old soul
The room is a modern ground floor of a residential block. We turned its columns, beams and walls into brick, stone and weathered timber — modelled in place and coloured by hand, light enough for an existing building and tough enough for a busy bar.
Old brick pillars and stone beams
Every pillar in the hall is wrapped in hand-made brick with worn edges and a dark, smoky patina; above them run massive stone lintels with moss-green weathering. Modern concrete columns now read as the bones of an old warehouse.
The entrance arch
The exit and entrance passage became a stone gateway: brick jambs, a heavy rough-hewn lintel with green moss patina, and walls in imitation dark timber.
La Cave à Vin
A small wine cellar behind an iron gate: the outer wall in layered rock, the inside in ashlar stone blocks.
The whole pub
Brick, stone, rock and timber finishes tie the bar, dining hall and game room into one story.
