Specialist training
Professional training in artistic concrete, decorative artificial rockwork and specialist finishing techniques.
Practice first
Training that grew out of the technique
Our training programme was developed in the company’s early years, alongside our technique for architectural-concrete stone sculpted directly on the wall. The company was founded in Belarus in early 2008, and the programme was part of the work there until 2018.
The founder, Aleks Svirydzenka, is not only the lead sculptor but also the technical mentor. Training is hands-on, on site or on prepared panels.
What is taught
Stone with and without moulds
Carving architectural concrete stone, using moulds and freehand.
Colour and patina
Multi-layer staining and patination.
Mixes
Preparing mixes for the conditions the surface will work in.
Artistic concrete and rockwork
Decorative artificial rockwork and specialist finishing techniques.
On your project
Training your own team on site
We can train a contractor’s or client’s team on site as part of the project. The team learns on the real surface, with the real mix and conditions, while the work moves forward.
A related model, supervision combined with training, is described on the habitat rockwork page: where a contractor builds with its own crew, we can train and supervise that crew.
From the training archive
Seminars and workshops in Brest, Belarus, shown with finished work from the same technique.
Training photos come from the archive of our early years in Brest, Belarus (2008 to 2018). They show the technique and the teaching, not recent projects.
